Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi

a taste of restaurant luxury at home! My husband’s exact words after his first bite, ‘Oh my god, Ashley, this is fantastic!’ We all agreed, and now it’s a family favorite!

This is an absolutely wonderful meal. You can even eat them on top of freshly cooked pasta if you prefer a complete meal, but for me, bread is the only way to go!

Ingredients:

1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon pure olive oil

2 tablespoons garlic, finely chopped

1 1/2 cups white wine, preferably Chardonnay

1/2 fresh lemon, juice only

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup softened butter

1 tablespoon parsley

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

How To Make Famous Red Lobster Shrimp Scampi:

Heat a cast iron skillet and add olive oil.

Cook the shrimp until they are tender and no longer translucent. Then, reduce the heat, remove the shrimp from the skillet, and set them aside.

Add the finely chopped garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to brown the garlic, as it can become bitter.

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, and cook until the wine is reduced by half.

Once the wine has reduced, stir in the Italian seasoning.

Lower the heat to low and add the softened butter. Be cautious to avoid separating the butter; if the pan is too hot, it may cause separation.

Return the shrimp to the sauce, add parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Finally, sprinkle the dish with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
